EMPIRE STATE BUILDING ANNOUNCES WINNER OF 2016 CHINESE VALENTINE’S DAY WEDDING CONTEST

New York, NY (October 25, 2016) – Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: ESRT) today announced the lucky couple who has been selected as the winner of the Empire State Building (ESB) Chinese Valentine’s Day Wedding Contest. Couples were invited to submit their personal love stories via a voice message through the building’s official WeChat from Tuesday, August 9, 12:00 PM through Friday, September 9, 11:59 PM BJT.  

 

Throughout its storied history, ESB has played a special role in love stories around the world. This year’s winning couple, Yanqiu Wang and Huan Yang, began dating in high school. The couple became familiar with the world-famous Empire State Building from its romantic role in the TV series, Gossip Girl. Now, they’ve been granted the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get married atop that same iconic building. The iconic building wishes the winning couple eternal love, forever the knot.

The grand prize-winning couple will not only receive an unforgettable wedding ceremony on the famed 86th floor Observatory on Valentine’s Day, but also two (2) United Airlines roundtrip tickets from China to New York City and a two-night (2) stay at Grand Hyatt New York. 

Following the ceremony, the couple can enjoy the famous 360-degree open-air views of New York City while taking photos with their guests before they are treated to a VIP breakfast at STATE Grill and Bar, located on the ground floor of the building.
