New York, NY (May 1, 2018) – On the occasion of turning 87 years young, the Empire State Building (ESB) and EarthCam today unveiled eight 4K webcams to give fans around the world unprecedented 24/7 access to 360° gigapixel panoramas and video footage from the world-famous building via a live stream video on the Empire State Building’s website.
The first installation of its kind, ESB and EarthCam have strategically placed webcams in and around the Empire State Building to capture 1,454 eight-megapixel images and a staggering four gigapixel panorama views to provide a virtual front row seat to the beloved ESB tower lightings, beautiful sunsets, and dynamic hourly sparkle that occur daily every hour on the hour between sunset and 2:00 a.m. E.T.
